CommonLine for churches

One phone number for your whole congregation.

Midweek prayer, Bible study, the Sunday sermon for members who can't come in: CommonLine gives your church a permanent local number. Members dial it from any phone and they're in. No app, no access code, no internet connection.

How it works

  1. Choose your number. Pick a local US or Canadian number. It stays yours while you're subscribed.
  2. Share it. People save it like any contact. There's no access code to join.
  3. Gather. Callers dial in, and you run the room from your keypad or the web dashboard.

What churches get

A number that stays yours

Print it in the bulletin and on the church sign. It's the same number every week for as long as your subscription is active.

Any phone works

Callers dial a normal phone number from a landline, a flip phone or a smartphone. There's nothing to download, no account to create and no access code to type.

Run it from the keypad or the dashboard

The host mutes everyone with *6, locks the room with *7 and ends the call with *9, or does the same from the web dashboard, where they can also mute or remove one caller.

Deacons and ministry leaders as co-hosts

Give the people who lead calls host controls on their own phones. Starter includes 1 co-host, Growth 5, and Congregation as many as you need.

Open hours

Set the times the line takes calls. Outside them, callers hear your closed message, and the line opens and closes on its own.

The sermon for those at home Growth and up

Record the service for members in the hospital or at work. Everyone hears that the call is being recorded, and you can download it for 7 days.

Notice who has stopped calling Growth and up

See which regulars haven't called in two weeks, so a deacon can reach out before they drift away.

Service reminders by text Coming soon

A text to every member before the service starts, at the time you choose.

Ring everyone Coming soon

One button rings every member, and whoever answers joins the room.

How churches use it

The plan that usually fits

Growth, $99 a month

Most churches start on Growth: recordings, attendance insights, 5 co-hosts and room for 75 callers at once. Larger congregations choose Congregation, for 150 callers and as many co-hosts as they need.

For example, a weekly hour-long Bible study with 12 people uses about 3,118 participant-minutes a month, within the 3,500 that Growth includes.

Questions

Do members need an app or an account?

No. They dial your church's number from any phone and are connected straight away.

Can members join from a landline?

Yes. CommonLine is an ordinary phone call, so landlines, flip phones and smartphones all work.

How do we keep a large call orderly?

The host presses *6 to mute everyone, and callers press *2 to raise a hand when they want to speak. The host can also mute or remove a caller from the dashboard.

Can we record the sermon?

Yes, from the Growth plan. Everyone on the call hears that it's being recorded, anyone joining later is told, and you can download the recording for 7 days before it's deleted.
